Synopsis

Out of gratitude for Emma Zell's kindness in funding her education, Hope Shaw agrees to a contract: she will stay by Emma’s son, John Bale, to help him heal from the heartbreak of losing his first love. Hope gives her all, enduring his cold indifference and half-hearted attempts to feign affection. Yet, everything crumbles when John receives news of his first love's return.
